Jazz Lab Band
Jazz Lab Band is the entry-level jazz band and is open to all members of the KHS Band program with the instructor's prior approval. Instrumentation is limited, and members must demonstrate sufficient musicianship to obtain approval. Students enrolling in this class are making a full-year commitment to the Jazz Lab Band and its performance expectations. Performances and practices outside of the school day and Solo & Ensemble are graded requirements of this course. Jazz Lab Band is directed by Mr. Daniel Goethals and Mr. Brian Wilson.
Jazz Band (Jazz I and Jazz II)
Jazz Band is open to members of the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble who have an interest in studying, playing, and performing music in the jazz idiom. Instrumentation is limited, and members must demonstrate sufficient musicianship to obtain approval. Students enrolling in this class are making a full-year commitment to the Jazz Band and its performance expectations. Performances and practices outside of the school day and Solo & Ensemble are graded requirements of this course.
