Mr. Brian Wilson directs the Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble I, and co-teaches the Symphonic Band and Jazz Lab.
Prior to teaching in Kimberly, he served as the Associate Director of Bands at Oshkosh West High School from 2011 to 2025. In this role, he taught one of Wisconsin's largest band programs, working with up to 250 students. Before joining Oshkosh West, Mr. Wilson taught at Hobart Middle School in Hobart, Indiana, and also served as an adjunct band director at Valparaiso High School. He also served as the percussion director at Terre Haute North Vigo High School, where he led the front ensemble, taught the curricular percussion class, and arranged percussion music for the marching band.
Mr. Wilson earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Indiana State University in 2010. As a percussionist, he performed with the Wind Orchestra, Symphonic Band, University Symphony, Percussion Ensemble, Marching Band, and Basketball Band. He is a proud brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Service Fraternity, and a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, the National Music Honor Society. Mr. Wilson has also performed with Vento Winds in Wisconsinís Fox Valley. He frequently composes, arranges, and edits music for both concert and marching ensembles, and his work is published by Jalen Publishing.
From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Wilson was a marching member of the Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, serving as drum major during his final two seasons. He later returned to the corps from 2010 to 2013 as Assistant Director, overseeing rehearsals, staff coordination, housing, and travel logistics.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Wilson enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, graphic design, and spending time with his husband, Joe, along with their friends and family.
