Week of September 14, 2026

Lessons
This is the official first week of lessons! The lesson schedules can be found HERE. Students were also given a physical schedule last week. You need to bring the school song, your homecoming music, and your lesson book. 

The time on the schedule is the time your lesson begins. Please make sure you are there with your instrument out and ready to go at the listed time. 

Please make sure you are doing everything you can to remember your lesson time. Write it on your hand, set a reminder, put a note on your desk, etc. 

If you know you are going to miss your lesson for any reason (you have a test, you have an appointment, you are on vacation, etc.) it is your responsibility to trade lesson times for that week. You can trade with anyone who has the same lesson teacher. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that lesson pairs must trade together. 

If you forget your lesson time or forget to trade for a known conflict, you can make up that missed lesson for 1/2 credit. If you are unexpectedly sick and not at school that day, you can make up that lesson for full credit. All make-up lessons must be completed within one week of your missed lesson. Talk to your lesson teacher ASAP to make up your missed lesson. Make-up times are very limited! Do not wait until 6 days after your missed lesson to talk to your teacher about a make-up! 

Indoor Facility
We will be in the indoor facility on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. You need to wear laced shoes! No sandals, crocs, flip flops, etc. 

The information for Zoot Suit Riot was posted in Google Classroom. Everyone needs to have their music marked by Wednesday! 

Fundraiser
The poinsettia fundraiser is up and running! See the directors if you need more coupons. All money and/or unsold coupons need to be returned by September 28th.
