Homecoming Recap
Congratulations on a great performance at the parade and the halftime show! Your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. We heard lots of compliments and you should all be proud of yourselves!

Lessons
Lessons resume this week. We will be playing from your assigned material in your lesson book. Make sure your set your alarms/reminders so you don't forget your lesson!
A reminder to take a look at the Solo and Ensemble Library to get some ideas of which solo you might want to play this year. We will have some options for you, but it's also helpful if you come in with your own thoughts. We will be choosing solos next week (week of October 13th).
For those who have not done a solo before or need a reminder, there are three levels. Class C are the first level. Most freshmen should start here and see what they think. If these seem too easy, take a look at Class B. Class B are slightly more difficult, but not as difficult as Class A. Class A solos are able to qualify for State Solo and Ensemble and are the highest difficulty.

Next Up
We are excited to begin working on concert music this week! We will also be working on Band Night music as well as the Christmas Parade music - God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is the only other thing we need you to memorize this year. You have a month and a half!
